NATIVE CONNECTIONS
The Native Connections program works with the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe and community organizations to promote healthy and positive lifestyles for at risk tribal youth ages 10-24 by culturally relevant activities, prevention services, increase access to resources, education and training, Talking Circles, and transportation.
RCORP NAS PROJECT
The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome or RCORP-NAS grant is managed by the Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board which provides information on Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) specifically for women of child bearing age for the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation. The Project Coordinator will provide information on awareness on opioid addiction, treatment and recovery for the individual, families and community.
Tribal Opioid Response
The Tribal Opioid Response program aims to address the opioid crisis and stimulant misuse for the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation (CCST). By working in collaboration with the CCST to develop and strengthen the capacity to prevent, treat and provide recovery support for opioid use disorder (OUD). This includes other stimulant misuse of cocaine, and meth for ages of 10 years and older. The goal to increase access to culturally appropriate and evidence-based prevention, treatment and recovery support services for OUD.
healthy start
Great Plains Healthy Start has been serving families of the Great Plains Region since 1992. As one of the original 15 Healthy Start programs in the nation funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Great Plains Healthy Start is proud to continue this tradition of supporting American Indian families to ensure every child gets the chance they deserve to have a “healthy start” in life. Crow Creek Healthy Start Community Health Worker delivers a variety of services to women of childbearing age, their partners, and children from birth to 18 months. Safe sleep, breast feeding, car seat safety, immunization education, prenatal, post-partum and many health educational services. And all of our services are free.
