Description: SDSU Extension has been facilitating the Community Wellness Coalition in Crow Creek for ~ 4 years. We work together as a group to brainstorm, plan and implement nutrition and physical activity programs in the community. Some examples over the past several years include: Smarter Lunchrooms, Stock Healthy Shop Healthy, and Community Gardening. All community members are invited and encouraged to attend our monthly meetings, typically held on the fourth Thursday of the month at noon. We also offer nutrition education classes in the community, typically in schools, clinics, after school programs, etc. Please reach out to us to request programming for your site group!
